They are red-maroon or brownish in colour because they are burnt at the high temperature. They are more durable , weather friendly and water resistant. They are known for bearing high loads; it has a high capacity.

3. Fly Ash Bricks

Our next type of brick is the eco-friendly type of brick manufactured in India. It is made from the fly ash produced in the thermal plant; basically, it is made from burnt coal ash.

It is an alternative to red brick; it is good for the environment. It is the best source of reusing the thermal waste. It is light in weight , absorbs less water, and is consistent in size and shape. It is greyish in colour, like it is made from cement; it is not reddish in colour because there is no oxidation. However, it is smooth in texture because it is made in a hydraulic press, or even we can keep the bricks in water for 10-15 days to make them hard.

4. Concrete Bricks

Concrete brick is a type of bricks used in the modern world. It is made from a mix of cement, sand , stones, and water; that’s why it is greyish in color.

It is made in a machine; that is why it is uniform and smooth in texture. It is a highly durable brick with less water absorption. The colour of the bricks can be changed with the artificial colours, like the bricks which are used in the garden. 5. Engineering Bricks

It is also one of the strongest type of bricks manufactured in India. It is known for its high strength and low water absorption. It is used to make the structure of a building or any other thing durable and strong, even moisture-free.

It is made up of clay soil, silica, lime, magnesia, and alumina; the material makes the brick stronger. All the materials get mixed up with the water, then molded in a mold, and then they get dried and get hard, and then they set up at a very high temperature in the kiln , more than the red bricks and burnt clay bricks.

They are reddish-brownish in color and even black because they are baked at a very high temperature (1200-1400 degrees Celsius); the bricks have a smooth texture. The engineering brick is of two types: class A and class B. They both can be classified according to strength, durability, and resistance.

The price of one class A brick is ₹40-₹50, and the price of a class B brick is ₹30-₹35. The bricks are used in commercial buildings, schools, hospitals and even institutes and many more.
